Saran itatuwa (Deforestation) shine sare itatuwa batare da an dasa wasu ba domin bukatar dan adam. Daga shekarar 1990 zuwa 2010 a Nigeria kusan rabin gandun daji yana raguwa daga hectares  17234 zuwa 9,041. Tsananin yawaitar sare gandun daji ya haifar da dumamar yanayi da raguwar ruwan sama  sannan hakan yana haifar da kwararowar Hamada acikin kasa.
